Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh): Nearly 14 Covid-19 patients have died at the Anantapur district GGH of Andhra Pradesh allegedly due to lack of oxygen supply.

Joint Collector Nishant Kumar and MLA Anantha Venkatarami Reddy visited the hospital.

"The Sarvajana Hospital incident was unfortunate. I spoke to Joint Collector Nishant Kumar over this incident and asked for details. Officials were saying oxygen was not the problem. The relatives of the victims' claim different. A few days ago I alerted hospital authorities about the low pressure of Oxygen. Action will be taken on this incident," Venkataramireddy said.

The allegations by the relatives of the patients are strengthened by the fact that a team of experts came from Chennai to rectify the technical issues in Anantapur district govt hospital.
