Tokyo: Indian shooters on Sunday had a consecutive second day where they faltered with Manu Bhaker and Yashaswini Deswal crashing out of the medal round of women's 10m air pistol here on Sunday at Asaka Shooting Range.
Bhaker finished 12th whereas Deswal ended the proceedings at 13th.
The 2019 ISSF World Cup gold medallist Deswal scored 574 out of a possible 600. She scored: 94, 98, 94, 97, 96, 95.
On the other hand, Olympic debutant Bhaker's scoreline read (575): 98, 95, 94, 95, 98, 95.
Having started off on a high with 98 points, gaining third ranking in the first series, the 19-year-old performance dipped as the next 20 shots saw her scoring 95 in the second which further plummeted to 94 in the third of the six series.
This was largely due to the issues with her gun she started facing in the second series which impacted former World Cup Gold winner's performance in the next series.
Series 4 and 5 saw her scoring 95.
However, Bhaker made a brilliant come back with a scoreline of 98 in the penultimate series only to falter later on with a 95.
A comeback in the fifth series came a little too late as the damage was already done in the previous series.
