WATCH: Federer thrash Krajinovic to enter fourth round of Miami Open

Roger Federer secured a 7-5, 6-3 win over Filip Krajinovic to reach the fourth round of the Miami Open.

Florida (USA): Swiss ace Roger Federer swept aside Filip Krajinovic in straight sets to advance to the fourth round of the Miami Open on Monday.
Federer, a former three-time champion in Miami, secured a 7-5, 6-3 win in one hour and 31 minutes.

Federer converted just two of eight break points in the opening set but became more accurate as the match progressed, finishing with 35 winners to 23 unforced errors.

A tight first set saw the 37-year-old Federer eventually capitalise in the 12th game to take the opener before racing into a 4-1 lead in the second en route to third-round win.

Interestingly, the 20-time Grand Slam champion hit 14 aces against Krajinovic and won 74% of first-serve points.

Next up for Federer is a clash with Russian Daniil Medvedev or American Reilly Opelka for a place in the quarter-finals.
