Paris:Daniil Medvedev won the Paris Masters for the first time by beating Alexander Zverev on Sunday for his eighth career title and third at a Masters event.
It was never going to be easy for Medvedev. Zverev won the opening set and cried out in celebration knowing that his rival was going to have to really raise his level to beat him.

That Medvedev did. Long looping forehands were a feature of the rallies. Staying in contention was so important forcing Zverev to yield.
Strong at the net and on the front foot, Zverev was about to fold just yet though.
