"I'm happy the way I played today. I was very solid. I'm getting my confidence back, you know. It was great for me to have another straight (sets) win for me on the centre court, to have a feel. I feel good. I feel good. The next match going to be a tough one. Obviously Dominic is in great form. He's one of the top three guys, you know, have potential to win the tournament. So facing him in the fourth round won't be easy, but as I say, I feel good. I'm at home, so anything is possible. So I'm just going to give a shot for this one."

"It doesn't bare a great meaning. I've had three good matches, three full matches. And so long as I feel confident, well, it's not a match when you're on the line and you have trouble becoming confident. I manage to impose my game and in this way I got reassured with these three matches and I'm happy I'm getting to the fourth one rather fresh."

Dominic Thiem, beat Pablo Cuevas 6-3, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5: On his performance

"For me, it was my best match so far at the French Open. Not at all perfect yet, but the best so far. He played well, especially in the beginning and then at the end of the match. Me, I had a very bad start, but then I played very well. I was stupid to give the second set away like that, and then third and fourth was solid. I think was quite a good clay court match."

"I think she played really well. I feel like she, in that first set in particular, she hit pretty much inches from the line, and I haven't played anyone like that in a long time. So, like, yeah, she actually played really well."

On if somebody had told her ahead of the tournament that she'd be out in the third round

"I would have thought they were lying, because I wouldn't expect to have gotten only to the third round, so I would have been, like, That's not true. Hey, it is what it is."

Serena Williams credited Sofia Kenin with playing the best tennis she'd come up against in a "long time" as the 23-time Grand Slam champion suffered a shock defeat to her fellow American in the French Open third round on Saturday.

The 6-2, 7-5 defeat was Williams' earliest at a Grand Slam for six years, with twenty-year-old Kenin advancing to the last 16 of a major for the first time in her career.

Gael Monfils and Dominic Thiem both won to set up an enticing fourth-round meeting.

The 14th-seeded Monfils beat fellow Frenchman Antoine Hoang 6-3, 6-2, 6-3, while 2018 runner-up Thiem outlasted Pablo Cuevas 6-3, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5.
