While speaking on the Khelo India Games, Singh said, "It will be inaugurated on 21 November, 2021. But right now the eye is on the Olympics, so in view of that, the pattern of future Khelo India will also be set in the same way."

However, he is cautious of the third wave which, he believes, will be harmful to children who are below 18, and it will cause havoc on Khelo India as the event is a U-18 show. So, "we are preparing plan B for the Khelo India Games," said Singh.
