Zinedine Zidane indicates Bale will stay in Real Madrid

Vigo (Spain): Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that Gareth Bale will stay at the club. "He's going to stay and we all have to think of that as a positive thing," Zidane told in a news conference.

Zidane had earlier said during the pre-season campaign that the club was looking to sell the former Tottenham midfielder, however, no such move came into the reality and the Welshman led the path in a 3-1 victory over Celta Vigo on Saturday.

The veteran coach added, "All the players we have now we are thinking will be here for the season." Bale had earlier a tense face-off with Zidane during the pre-season training, as well as the coach also openly said a statement that Bale was set to leave and even commented: "If he leaves tomorrow, all the better."

Earlier there were speculations that Bale will move to the Chinese super league club Jiangsu Suning in July but his chances of remaining in the Madrid increased when fellow forward Marco Asensio meet with a serious knee injury.

However the Welsh international has consistently argued with the fact that his first preference will always remain to stay in the Spanish Capital. Bale's chances of playing in the opener also increased when new arrival Eden Hazard was ruled for three weeks after picking up a muscle strain on Friday.
