He's very welcome: Tuchel would love to have Messi at PSG

"I think Messi finishes his career in Barcelona. He's Mr Barcelona," Tuchel was quoted as saying after his side lost 1-0 to Bayern in the Champions League final on Sunday.

Lisbon:Paris Saint Germain boss Thomas Tuchel on Sunday said that he would love to have Barcelona star Lionel Messi at Le Parc des Princes if he decides to leave the Spanish giants. However, Tuchel does not expect the Argentine forward to leave Camp Nou.

Messi joined Barca as a teenage boy and since then he has netted 634 goals in 730 appearances for the club. With Barca Messi lifted 33 trophies but the 33-year-old's contract with the club would end in 2021 and if the reports are to be believed then Messi is in no hurry to renew his contract.

And ever since Barca's humiliating 2-8 defeat by Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of Champions League this month, the rumours about Messi's departure from Spain has started doing rounds in the media.

When asked if the French powerhouse PSG would be interested in signing six-time Ballon d'Or winner, Tuchel said, "He's very welcome. What coach says no to Messi?"

Talking about the next season, Tuchel said the club would talk over their potential signing targets as they need a deeper squad to cope with the demands of the new season.

"We lost lots of players for this campaign and we lose now Thiago Silva and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting," he added.

"We need to use the transfer window now to make the squad wider. The campaign will be very demanding without any breaks.

"We need to build a strong squad. We decided not to talk about transfers in this period. We'll sit together in the next days."
