2019 World Cup: Virat Kohli meets Harry Kane, wishes him luck for CL final

Harry Kane took to Twitter to share a picture with the Indian skipper. Later on the day, Kohli wishes Kane good luck for the upcoming Champions League final.

London: Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli have been in touch with each other on Twitter. The two athletes usually send congratulatory tweets after a good performance and match results.

With 2019 World Cup is set to start on May 30 in England and Wales, Kohli met England football and Spurs captain at the Lord's Cricket Ground.



The 25-year-old striker took to Twitter to share a picture with the Indian skipper. Later on the day, Kohli wishes Kane good luck for the upcoming Champions League final.



After seeing the picture of two top-notch stars of different fields of sports fans went into a frenzy. However, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan saw the opportunity to take a friendly dig at Kohli.



It must be noted that Kohli and Abhishek are co-owners of FC Goa and Chennaiyin FC respectively in the Indian Super League (ISL).

Meanwhile, a fan posted a picture of Kohli and Southampton striker Danny Ings holding a jersey which was tweeted in September last year by the Club's official handle.



While Kohli will hope to lead India to their record third World Cup trophy win, Spurs' talisman Kane, who has been out an ankle injury, will hope to be fit ahead of marquee Champions League final on June 1 against Liverpool.
