Dubai: Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner invited Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore to bat first after winning the toss in the third match of Indian Premier League, here, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
At the toss, RCB captain Virat Kohli said, "We have made a few changes, to the setup and the team as well. We feel relaxed and balanced. One idea was to create more leaders in the time. The guys have worked really hard during the lockdown period in whatever way they could. They have taken a lot of responsibility in these three weeks as well. Lot of batting happened in the last three wickets."
After winning the toss, David Warner said, "We will bowl. There is a bit of dew around. It was an interesting game last night. We know it's going to get a bit tired towards the end. We have the balance in the side."
After finishing fourth in the 2019 IPL, SRH will start their campaign in the ongoing season against RCB, who are looking for their maiden title.
While SRH have clinched the trophy once in 2016, besides the 2009 triumph in their earlier avatar as Deccan Chargers, the Virat Kohli-led RCB are yet to lay their hands on the coveted trophy.
With skipper Warner and Jonny Bairstow, the SRH are considered to have one of the best opening pairs and if the duo gets going, the Hyderabad franchise will pose a big threat for their opponents.
Warner is also the leading run-scorer for SRH after accumulating 3,271 runs from 71 games, averaging 55.44. Bairstow, who joined SRH last year, also impressed everyone after gathering 445 runs from 10 games at a decent average of 55.62.
