Sharjah: In the 17th match of IPL 2020, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat against Sunrisers Hyderabad here at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday. Mumbai didn't make any change in their playing eleven.

Hyderabad's Bhuvneshwar Kumar is missing today's game. Sandeep Sharma has replaced him in the playing eleven. Khaleel has also been left out. Siddarth Kaul gets his first game of the season.

Mumbai won their last match against Punjab by 48 runs to come back from their Super Over defeat to Bangalore.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, will look for their third consecutive wins today. In their previous two matches, they defeated Delhi by 15 runs and Chennai by 7 runs.

Hyderabad and Mumbai faced each other 14 times in the IPL and they won seven matches apiece.

Rohit Sharma: We will bat first. It has been our strength and we will back that. It is a good pitch and the toss doesn't really matter. The game against KKR was also a perfect game. We have seen few games here, you have to believe and trust your instincts when you play in grounds like these. We are playing the same team.

David Warner: Definitely would have batted as well. Exactly the same what Rohit was saying there the way our team shapes up we are confident in our bowlers to defend. We have seen some high totals here but it also gives a chance to the bowlers to pinch a couple of wickets. I think Bhuvi is a big loss for us.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar missed today's game.

Pitch and Conditions: "Sunny, warm afternoon. The pitch has got nothing. 61 meters and 65 meters to either side, 73 downtown but it will hardly matter. The pitch is so true. There is no bounce for the spinners, there is no bounce for the pacers. Day game, win the toss, bat first and try to defend it," advice Simon Doull and Murali Kartik.

Teams:

Sunrisers Hyderabad (Playing XI): David Warner(c), Jonny Bairstow(w), Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, Siddarth Kaul, T Natarajan

Mumbai Indians (Playing XI): Quinton de Kock(w), Rohit Sharma(c), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, James Pattinson, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah
