Abu Dhabi: In the 24th match of IPL 2020, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and decided to bat first against Kings XI Punjab here at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Saturday.
KKR have brought in pacer Prasidh Krishna in place of Shivam Mavi for this match as the latter has a few niggles. On the other hand, KXIP have dropped Sheldon Cottrell to bring in Chris Jordan.
In their last outing in IPL 2020, KKR defeated Chennai Super Kings by 10 runs while KXIP are coming off to play this game in the backdrop of a humiliating 69 runs defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Chris Jordan has played 3 matches this season and yet to take a wicket. Overall, KKR and KXIP have faced each other 25 times in the IPL so far, with the Kolkata side leading the head to head battle 17-8.
KL Rahul | KXIP captain: We have a lot of experiences like Anil, Andy and Jonty. We have Gayle and Maxi and seniors who have kept it positive. We just haven't turned it around in the big moments that's why we are at the bottom of the table. Jordan comes in for Cottrell, who has a niggle and might miss out on a couple of games.
Prasidh Krishna has played one game so far this season. Dinesh Karthik | KKR captain:The wicket looks dry so we'll have a bat first. As the tournament progresses we'll get the right batting order, but it worked well in the last game. Mavi has a few niggles so Prasidh comes in for him.
