Hyderabad: Delhi Capitals skipper Shreyas Iyer and opener Shikhar Dhawan score fifties as DC posted runs for the loss of four wickets against Rajasthan Royals in the 30th match of the Indian Premier League at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday.
Earlier, after winning the toss, DC captain Shreyas Iyer opted to bat first and soon his decision back-fired as in-form Prithvi Shaw was sent back to Pavillion for a golden duck.
And soon India's Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahanae became Jofra Archer's second victim as DC was left reeling at 10 for two in 2-3 overs.
Following two early dismissals, Iyer along with Dhawan took charge of Delhi's innings as the duo snitched 85 runs for the third wicket.
Shreyas Gopal gave Rajasthan a much-needed breakthrough in the 12th over by removing Dhawan from the attack. Dhawan scored a blistering 57 runs off 33 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes.
