Hyderabad: Jwala Singh, the childhood coach of Yashasvi Jaiswal, who will play his first IPL season for Rajasthan Royals, has had a special conversation with ETV Bharat. Jwala feels Yashasvi will come good in Rajasthan Royals' opening match against Chennai Super Kings.

"Yashvi is graduating from junior cricket to senior cricket, so he has a lot of things to prove right now. I think he will debut in the IPL today," Jwala said.

Talking about Yashasvi's batting in the UAE conditions, Jwala said, "All the players are coming off from a long break. Only England, Australia, West Indies and Pakistan have played a few matches. Any good player can get himself ready for professional cricket within 20-25 days. However, there is a different pressure during the match. I think Yashasvi will do well. He takes a little time in the beginning but scores when he is set. "

Jwala also talked about IPL debutants Ravi Bishnoi and Priyam Garg, and he feels Yashasvi too will get to play his first IPL match on Tuesday. The trio played the U-19 World Cup final against Bangladesh earlier in 2020.

The veteran coach also said that he always asked Yashasvi to get ready for IPL as the tournament would definitely take place. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, there was uncertainty over this year's IPL.

Jwala, meanwhile, picks Rajasthan Royals favourite for today's match. "Both teams (Rajasthan and Chennai) are good. In T20 matches things change very fast. The team in which Yashwashi will play will be my favourite team. I hope Rajasthan will play well today."

Yashasvi Jaiswal played for India in the 2020 U-19 World Cup.

Asked about facing fast bowlers, Jwala said, "I do not think that Yashwasi will face many problems in facing CSK bowling attack. I would like him to play against CSK bowlers at the earliest and learn to perform. "

But Jwala suggests Yashasvi play as per the merit of the ball.
