Mumbai beat RCB by five wickets
Chasing a mediocre total of 172 runs, Rohit and De Kock gave Mumbai a flying start.
Mumbai: Despite putting a fighting total of 171 runs in their 8th clash against Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore lost the match by five wickets on Monday. The match between RCB and MI was played at the Wankhede Stadium. This is also RCB's seventh loss in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2019).
Batting second, Mumbai were comfortably placed at 69/0 in the seventh over before Moeen Ali removed both MI openers Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock in a single over.
The England all-rounder was exceptional with the bat as well bowl on their clash against MI taking two wickets in his allotted four overs giving away just 18 runs. Moeen was also supported by Yuzvendra Chahal from the other end. The leg-spinner bagged two wickets and conceded just 27 runs.

But all-rounder Hardik Pandya guided Mumbai to victory by smashing a quickfire 37 runs in the last. During his innings, Pandya smashed five fours and two sixes.
Earlier, riding on the fifties from South Africa's AB de Villiers and England's Moeen Ali, Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore could only score a modest 172/7 as host Mumbai Indians' bowlers bowled decently on a good batting track.
After winning the toss, MI skipper Rohit Sharma opted to bowl first and soon his bowlers proved his decision right by removing opposition skipper Virat Kohli for eight runs in the only third over of the game.
Mumbai all-rounder Hardik Pandya removed Parthiv Patel in the first over after powerplay. However, Patel has done a decent job during his stay at the crease to keep the scoreboard ticking.
After the departure of their openers, Moeen and ABD put RCB back on track and snitched 95 runs for the third wicket. Moeen Ali hammered most Mumbai bowlers. But while trying to maintain a good run-rate, the Englishman lost his wicket to Lasith Malinga in the 18th over. Australia's Marcus Stoinis was also removed in the same over for a duck.
Meanwhile, ABD continued his attack from the other hand as he smashed 75 runs in 51 balls. During his innings, De Villiers smashed six fours and four sixes.
For Mumbai, Malinga was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets, Jason Behrendorff and Pandya bagged one wicket each.
