Vadodara: Former Indian Women Cricket Team Coach Tushar Bhalchandra Arothe has been arrested in connection with IPL betting.

In July 2018, Tushar resigned due to alleged differences with the star players, who had protested against his training methods.

JS Jadeja, DCP Crime Branch, says, “We arrested Tushar Arothe along with 18 other persons during a raid at a cafe. Their phones&vehicles have been seized.”
Tushar is a former Ranji cricketer who played for Baroda between the 1985/85 and 2003/04 seasons.
He was the first player and is one of the two players to have appeared in more than 100 matches for Baroda. He became a cricket coach soon after his retirement.
With 107 appearances Arothe is second on the list of most appearances for Baroda, only one less than Connor Williams.
Tushar was appointed as the coach of the India national women's cricket team way back in 2013.
