India win toss, opt to bat against Sri Lanka in 3rd ODI

India have already won the ODI series 2-0. A win in the third ODI will enable Shikhar Dhawan's side to whitewash Sri Lanka.

Colombo: In the third and final ODI of the three-match series between Sri Lanka and New Zealand, India captain Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and decided to bat first here at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Friday.

India are leading the series 2-0. They will look for clean sweep against a full-strength Sri Lankan side.

Dasun Shanaka:I think the wicket is dry and should stay good. We have three changes: Praveen Jayawickrama, Akila Dananjaya and Ramesh Mendis come in. I think we are on the right track at the moment and winning this is important to go forward.
