Bengaluru:The Suryakumar Yadav-led side have defended 160 on a track where stroke-making wasn't looked easy. The vice-captain Shreyas Iyer was the top scorer for India with 53 off 37 balls with five fours and two sixes while cameos from Jitesh & Axar helped India post a competitive total on the board. In reply to the chase, left-hander Travis Head took on Indian bowlers and kicked Australia's innings with three consecutive fours on the first three deliveries putting them under pressure. Despite losing Philippe cheaply, the Kangaroos got off to a flier start scoring 40 runs off the first four overs which forced SKY to turn to spin. Yadav's go-to bowler of the series, Ravi Bishnoi conceded a six off his fourth ball with Head dispatching him over deep midwicket, but the wrist-spinner got his revenge off his very next ball as he removed the dangerman. Ben McDermott kept fighting from one end with his 54 off 36 balls before losing his wicket to Arshdeep Singh but the Aussies lost wickets on important times as the scoring rate dipped significantly which cost them the match.
Result: India won the match by six runs in a nail-biting encounter.
