Leeds: Indian opener Rohit Sharma has slammed his record fifth ton of the 2019 World Cup and third consecutive of the ongoing tournament against Sri Lanka as India finished top on the points table with 15 points here at Headingley on Saturday. Rohit now owns the record of most hundreds in a single World Cup as he broke Kumar Sangakkara's 2015 World Cup tally of four hundreds.

The right-handed batsman's record-breaking spree didn't stop there. While playing 103 runs knock he has surpassed legendary Sachin Tendulkar and Shakib-Al-Hasan's tallies since he has become the batsman with most runs in the group or league stage of a single edition of the World Cup.
