Birmingham: Indian opener Rohit Sharma became the first Indian to score 4 centuries in single edition of a World Cup. Enroute to 104, Rohit further broke numerous records that are mentioned below:
- 1st Indian to score 4 WC centuries in single edition
- 2nd Indian after Sachin Tendulkar to score 500+ runs in single edition of WC
- 3rd consecutive Hundred vs Bangladesh in ICC Events (137 in WC 2015 & 123 in CT 2017)
- 5 Hundreds in World Cup (Overall); Second Indian only after Sachin Tendulkar (6)
- 230 Sixes: Most by an Indian in ODIs
- 180 Highest Opening Partnership in WC along with KL Rahul
- 544 Leading run-getter in 2019 World Cup
- Presently, India are 195/2 in 32.4 overs with Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli in the middle. ETV Bharat predicts that India will score around 335-345 runs at the end of their allotted 50 overs.
