Hyderabad: At a time when most sporting events around the world are on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, current and former cricketers are trying to engage themselves via social media and are passing on different challenges to each other to attracts fans in numbers and keep them entertained.
Likewise, former South African cricketer joined the trick shot group on Saturday and posted a video of himself on Twitter in which he can be seen chipping a golf ball in such way that it ricocheted off four separate cricket bats before going into the pot.
Pollock erupted in joy after it turned out to be a successful trick shot by the cricketer-turned-commentator.
Interestingly, prior to Pollock, Scotland's wicketkeeper batsman Matthew Cross blew Twitter away on Thursday when he posted a video of his golf trick shot. The shot not only showed his talent with the golf club in hand but also his footy skills.
Coming back to Shaun Pollock, the 46-year-old went onto become one of the finest bowling all-rounders in the history of cricket with numerous records to his name and he even captained the South African national team.
Pollock went to represent South Africa in 423 international matches and took 829 wickets across all formats, while also scoring over 7000 runs.
Meanwhile, the coronavirus pandemic has resulted in a global shutdown in sporting activities as several competitions have been either suspended or cancelled. Even the Summer Olympics, typically one the world’s most-watched sporting broadcasts, has been pushed back a year.
