WATCH: Anil Kumble provides safety kits to Bengaluru police

Bengaluru: Former Indian skipper and leg-break bowler Anil Kumble has provided Safety kits for the Bengaluru police who protect the society from Covid-19 pandemic.

Anil Kumble, with the help of Yuva NGO, has provided 1000 safety kits to Bengaluru city police. “The Police have been working day and night to safeguard the people and society, and for the same the police have to take care of themselves too,” said Kumble while providing the Kits.

The 1,000 kits consist of sanitizers, masks, soaps, and immune-free medication that have been handed over to the Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao by Anil Kumble.

After providing the kits Anil Kumble said, “The COVID-19 pandemic is spreading everywhere and police officials are also being tested positive. Thus, police staff also need to take care about their health.”

After receiving the kits by Kumble, Bengaluru city Police commissioner thanked the former Indian skipper for his noble gesture.

Anil Kumble provides safety kits to Bengaluru police

The number of coronavirus cases in India crossed 150,000 mark with more than 6,387 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours. The total count of COVID-19 infections jumped to 151,767 as per Union Health Ministry data on Wednesday (May 27).

According to the Health Ministry — of the total — 83,004 are active cases while at least 64,425 people have been cured of the disease. Meanwhile, at least 4,337 people have died due to the disease.

The average increase in cases has been 6,000 cases a day over the course of the past week, according to the Health Ministry data.
