Centurion: Isuru Udana's stunning late cameo with the bat went in vain as Sri Lanka fell short of 16 runs while chasing 181 runs target in the second T20I against South Africa here.
Udana came to the crease when Sri Lanka were reduced to 62 for 6 and proceeded to smash six sixes, eight fours during his unbeaten 84 runs innings off 48 balls.

In the penultimate over, Sri Lanka were required 32 runs to notch a remarkable win. The visitors' hopes were raised when Udana dispatched Lutho Sipamla for six but the tourists were eventually restricted to 164-9, despite Udana sending the final delivery into the stands.
With this victory, South Africa took a 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Earlier, South Africa won the first T20I in a super-over thriller.
In the second match, Dale Steyn (2-34) got two wickets in the first over and Chris Morris (3-32) gave two breakthroughs to South Africa in the fourth over to pave way the Proteas' win.
