Australia's opening batsman Usman Khawaja, who was the highest run-getter in the five ODI against India, was awarded the man of the series title. While scoring 383 runs with the help of two match-winning hundreds, the left-hand batsman became the second highest run scorer in five-match ODI series for Australia, only behind David Warner who smashed 386 runs against South Africa Series in 2016.

Usman Khawaja while playing a vital role in series win smashed two tons and one fifty. He now holds the record for scoring most number of runs against India in a five-match ODI series. Earlier the record was held by New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson who smashed 361 runs in 2014 against Indian team.
⦁ Third fastest to 8,000 ODI runs - Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma, after scoring his 41st half-century in the fifth ODI, became the third fastest batsman to cross 8000 runs in 50 over cricket. He is the ninth Indian batsman to do so. Rohit has taken 200 innings to reach the milestone, which is the joint third fastest with Ganguly and behind AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli.
