Rahul, Rohit, Virat blitzkrieg power India to 240/3

West Indies require 241 to win the third t20I and eventually the series 2-1.

Mumbai: India posted a massive total of 240/3 courtesy of a brilliant collective batting performance by Indian batsmen. KL Rahul (91) and Rohit Sharma (71) set the tone of the Indian innings with an opening partnership of 135.

However, India lost two quick wickets in the middle overs as Rishabh Pant was dismissed for a duck. But another 95-run partnership between Virat Kohli (70*) and Rahul made sure that India posted an above-par total of 245 in their allotted 20 overs.

Sheldon Cottrell, Keserick Williams and Kieron Pollard picked a wicket apiece in an innings which was totally dominated by batsmen.

Earlier, West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard decided to bowl first after winning the toss. Presently, the series is poised at 1-1 wherein India won the first T20I by six wickets. West Indies, on the other hand, defeated India by 8 wickets in the second T20I which was played at Thiruvananthapuram.
