Hyderabad: If one believes various media reports, Indian middle-order batsman Kedar Jadhav might face the axe from the Indian cricket team. What makes thing tough for the Maharashtra batsman is that age is not on his side.
One can certainly be sure that at 34, Jadhav isn't getting any younger and will definitely not be in the team's plan for the 2023 World Cup. Thus, the selectors are reportedly contemplating the idea of dropping him in order to try out other batsmen who would suit the role.
Ahead of the upcoming New Zealand series, the selectors are reportedly set to name either of Ajinkya Rahane or Suryakumar Yadav as Jadhav's replacement.
