IPL'19: SRH beat RCB by 118 runs to go on top of points table

Chasing a huge target of 232, RCB was never really into reckoning and kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. their top order crumbled and at one stage, they were reduced to 40 for the loss of 6 wickets. They were subsequently bowled out for 113 runs.

Kiwi allrounder Colin deGrandhomme and Prayas Ray Barman, however, provided some resistance and brought the score past 100.

Wickets fell like ninepins. Dependable batsmen AB De Villiers, Virat Kohli, Moeen Khan failed to reach even the double digits.

Earlier, put into bat, the Sunrisers Hyderabad post a mammoth total of 231. Openers Jonny Bairstow and David Warner built a strong foundation by putting up record 185 in the opening wicket. Both the openers struck fine centuries.

Bairstow smacked 114 runs of just 56 runs with the help of seven huge sixes and 12 boundaries.

The wicket-keeper batsman who was playing his third IPL match lost his wicket to Yuzvendra Chahal in 17th over of the match. Warner while reclaiming the orange cap completed his ton off just 555 balls. He hit 5 massive sixes and 5 boundaries.

Warner reached to his hundred on the last over of the match.

The match was a nightmare for RCB bowlers as they could not break the opening partnership till the 17th over.

Leg spinner Chahal was the only bowler to pick the wicket as the other wicket that fell was of Vijay Shankar who out run out.

The 16-year-old Prayas Barman who made his debut in this match conceded 56 runs off his four overs quota. He bowled with the economy of 14.
