Hyderabad: The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League is about to host its grand finale at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, here on Sunday. Chennai Super Kings pacer Deepak Chahar and Mumbai Indians spinner Rahul Chahar will be the first brother pair to have played IPL final against each other.
Both the Chahar brothers are in excellent form and are one of the main players for their teams. Deepak, while playing for former IPL champions CSK this season has clinched 19 wickets in the 16 matches that he has played so far. He has also struck his career-best figures of 3 for 15 in this season.
On the other hand, Rahul Chahar who first played IPL in 2017 was picked by MI in the last season. He didn't get many chances in the playing 11 last years but he proved his worth this year while picking up 12 wickets in 12 matches so far. The leg spinner also cliched 3 wickets for 19 runs which is his best figure.
While playing against each other both the Chahar brothers have played well as Deepak took the wicket of MI captain Rohit Sharma and Rahul picked the wicket of CSK's inform batsman Faf du Plessis.
It will be a tough fight between two of the best teams in the history of IPL as both the teams have won 3 IPL titles so far and whoever wins this year will be called the best of the best.
