Hyderabad:The much anticipated Indian Premier League players auction for the 13th season of IPL would take place on Thursday, 19th December.
For the first in the history of IPL, the players' auction will take place in Kolkata.
Ahead of the auctions, 71 players were released by their respective franchises and a total of 127 players were retained, including 35 foreigners.
On Thursday, over 300 cricketers will go under the hammer by the auctioneer at the IPL 2020 players' auction in Kolkata.
Ahead of the auction, here is the list of five pacers who might trigger bidding war in the auction:
Pat Cummins
With Mitchell Starc opting out of this years Indian Premier League, his countrymen Pat Cummins could the most desired pacer by IPL teams.
If the reports doing rounds on social media is to believe then Pat Cummins is expected to trigger a bidding war among IPL franchisees.
Even though he has not played much T20 cricket in the last two years, the right-hander bowler is counted among the best all-format bowlers in the world.
Cummins is aiming to make a return in IPL after three years. He last played IPL in 2017 for Delhi Capitals. Before that, he was part of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2014 and 2015.
In IPL 2017, Cummins bagged 15 wickets in 12 games. And after his performance he was picked by Mumbai Indians in IPL 2018, however, a back injury prevented him from taking part in that season.
Kesrick Williams
Kesrick Williams recently created a buzz among cricket enthusiasts after his stiff with Indian skipper Virat Kohli in just concluded three-match T20I series that hosts won 2-1. If Williams gets picked by any IPL side, it would be his first stint in India's T20 domestic league.
The 29-year-old right-handed bowler has played 82 T20 games so far and bagged 111 wickets at an economy rate of 8.44.
