Hyderabad:Virat Kohli-led Team India have consolidated their position at the top of the ICC World Test Championship table after their emphatic 203 runs win over South Africa in the opening Test match of three-match series on Sunday.
Team India were already table-toppers after their 2-0 win over West Indies in Caribbean Island. India now have 160 points after they gained 40 more points from their win over Faf du Plessis-led outfit.
Kane Williams-led New Zealand are tied at the second spot with 60 points along with Sri Lanka.
Australia and England are tied at the third spot with 56 points each after the recently concluded five-match Test series, which was drawn 2-2.
West Indies, South Africa, Bangladesh and Pakistan are yet to open their accounts in the championship.
Bangladesh and Pakistan have not played a single Test since the World Test championship started.
However, West Indies lost 2-0 to India in their own backyard.
Meanwhile, South Africa is trailing 0-1 to India in the three-match Test series, which kick-started on October 5.
