The ICC world Test championship is slated to commence from August 1.

Starting with the toss, the usual practice of spinning the coin will be replaced by Twitter poll. It will be the cricket fans who can give his / her preference on twitters sitting at home. Who will be batting and who will bowl first will be decided on the maximum preferences.

Not only that the players will be sporting their Instagram handles on the back of their shirts which will be followed by their jersey numbers.

The players will be provided with an option of wearing shorts in case the temperature of the venue rises over 35 degrees celsius.

Commentators can perform their duties standing behind the slip cordon while the fielding team can dismiss two batsmen in a delivery in case the catch is taken and the other batsman is found short of his crease by running that batsman out.

The no balls and the dot balls will be termed as Faults and Aces respectively.

However, the move has drawn criticism. Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra expressed his reservations in this regard. "WhatsApp numbers and Twitter handles next????", he said in his twitter message.

Today is April Fools’ Day, so, has ICC acted in a weird manner or is it genuine? Only time will tell.
