Hyderabad Cricket Association polls to begin today
If the reports are to be believed then 155 private clubs, 51 institutional ones, 9 district associations and 11 former international players are expected to vote on Friday to rebuild the Association that will shape cricket in the state.
Hyderabad: Former Indian skipper Mohammed Azharuddin is the front-runner for the Hyderabad Cricket Association president post, for which the HCA polls starts on September 27th.
Other than Azharuddin, Prakash Chand Jain and K. Dilip Kumar are also contesting for the president’s post. For the first time in history, former Hyderabad players, who have represented India in the international level, will play an effective role in shaping the association.

Interestingly, it is also the first time when N. Shivlal Yadav, Arshad Ayub, Man Singh and the Agarwals will be playing their cards from behind as they are not eligible to contest the vote according to the Lodha Committee's recommendations.
