Hyderabad: The date 27th August holds a special place in cricket lovers heart as Sir Don Bradman arguably the best batsman to have ever played the game was born on this day. August 27, 2019, is the 111th birth anniversary of the Aussie stalwart.
Sir Don was a nightmare for the bowlers in the 1930's when he ruled the game and made life hell for the opposition. The number 99 is associated with this great cricketer as he ended his carrer with a staggering average of 99.94.

1. Most Double Hundred in Tests
Sir Don Bradman scored 29 centuries in the longest form of cricket and out of which he converted 12 into a double hundred, which are still the most by any batsman in Test Cricket. Sri Lanka’s talismanic wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara is the 2nd on the list with 11 Test double hundreds under his name.
2. Quickest to 7th till 29th Test Centuries
Bradman started his carrer with a bang and in no time he was the refereed as the best in the business. The right-hand batsman was fastest to 7 Test centuries and the batsman never looked back after that and scored the fastest 8th and 9th and the tale continued till his 29th Test ton, which was the last of his career.
