Brampton (Canada): Dynamic Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal accused compatriot and former Test player, Mansoor Akhtar, of corrupt approach during the ongoing Global T20 Canada while also reporting the matter to PCB's anti-corruption unit.

Akmal is participating in the ongoing Global T20 Canada as a Winnipeg Hawks player.

Umar reported that Akhtar, who is a former test batsman, had approached him and asked him to fix few matches in the league. Reportedly, Akhtar was part of the Winnipeg Hawks management team where Umar was plying his trade as a cricketer.

The 61-year-old Mansoor currently resides in the US and has played 19 Tests and 41 ODIs between 1980 and 1990.

Akmal had earlier claimed a bookmaker had called him up and offered him around USD 150,000 to 200,000 for leaving two balls at a particular time in the 2015 World Cup game against India at Adelaide.
