Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced the Annual Player Contracts for 2020, but didn't include MS Dhoni's name in the list of 27 players who were given the central contracts.
Dropping Dhoni's name from the list of centrally contracted players has raised fresh doubts on the future of the former India captain who has not played since the World Cup semifinal loss to New Zealand last year.
Dhoni was in the A category, which fetches a player Rs 5 crore, until last year
Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah were put in Grade A+, which is the highest grade in the contract list.
The said contract is from the period of October 2019 to September 2020.
