Chennai: Delhi Capitals has won the toss and asked host Chennai Super Kings to bat first in their Indian Premier League contest here at MA Chidambaram Stadium, on Wednesday. The pitch at the Chennai stadium has been in the news for its assistance for the spin and it will be interesting to see how it plays in the clash between the table toppers.

Interestingly, CSK's spinner has taken the most number of wickets than any team in 2019 IPL.

CSK skipper MS Dhoni is back in the side. Chennai has rested Dhruv Shorey, Santner, Murali Vijay and brought in Dhoni, Faf, and Jadeja while DC has rested Ishant Sharma and Kagiso Rabada.

Both the teams have 16 points with eight wins in the tournament. DC is at the top of the points table as they have better NRR than CSK.

After winning the toss Shreyas Iyer said, "Hoping for dew in the second innings. The wicket looks dry so we have got three spinners in our side too. Suchith and Trent Boult come in for Ishant Sharma and Rabada."

MS Dhoni at the time of toss said," Less dew today, because of the cloud cover. When you've played enough international cricket it's never 100%. You're always a little less than that. We were looking to bat first anyway. It's a bit of a worry for the opposition because I'll be coughing at them (laughs)."
