Adelaide: Former Australian vice-captain David Warner on Saturday smashed maiden triple century of his career and in the process became the 7th player to achieve this milestone.
The 33-year-old, playing in his 81st Test, began day two of the day-night second Test in Adelaide on 166 and wasted little time in racing to 300.
He reached the mark off 395 balls with a boundary from Mohammed Abbas, clattering 37 fours along the way.
Warner is also the only second Australian to cross the mark of 300 hundred against Pakistan and fourth overall cricketer.

Warner's previous highest Test score was 253 against New Zealand at Perth in 2015.
Warner was also supported by Marnus Labuschagne, who was bowled by Afridi for 162.
Earlier, Australia's Marnus Labuschagne became the leading run-scorer in Tests in 2019.
The right-handed batsman went on to score 162 runs in the first innings of the day-night Test and as a result, took his tally in 2019 to 829 runs.
Yesterday, Warner and Labuschagne guided Australia to a dominating position by registering an unbeaten stand of 294 runs.
