Jaipur: Former India captain and current Hyderabad Cricket Association President Mohammad Azharuddin met with a deadly accident in Soorwal, Rajasthan.
Azhar was travelling with three members of his family to Ranthambore National Park. The former India batsman and his family, however, escaped unhurt and returned to the hotel.
As per sources, Azhar is in Rajasthan with his family to celebrate the new year.
The Hyderabadi was elected as HCA president in September 2019. He won decisive 147 votes while his nearest opponent Prakash Chand Jain won only 73 votes.
