Hyderabad: Fit-again pacer Jasprit Bumrah returned to India's T20 and ODI squads for next month's home assignments against Sri Lanka and Australia, while top batsman Rohit Sharma was rested from the T20s in the squads announced here on Monday.
Opener Shikhar Dhawan, who had suffered a knee injury, has also made a comeback to both the squads, chairman of selectors M S K Prasad announced after a meeting of the five-member panel here.
Bumrah who was recently seen during India's net session ahead of the second ODI against the West Indies in Visakhapatnam had been out of the squad due to a stress fracture of the back.
India's vice-captain Rohit Sharma, who has recently cemented his place in the playing XI across all three formats, is rested in the Sri Lankan T20 series to manage the opener's workload as the ace Indian batsman has constantly been playing cricket since 2019 Cricket World Cup.
