Mumbai: Team India captain Virat Kohli is likely to play one match for the Asia XI that will take on World XI in a three-match Twenty 20 International series to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, independent Bangladesh's first Prime Minister, in Dhaka next month.
All three matches will take place at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, Dhaka. Kohli is among six Indian players who were named in the Asia XI. While KL Rahul nominated for one match appearance, Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Shami have been included for all three matches.
Brendan Taylor, KL Rahul, Chris Gayle and Jonny Bairstow Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hassan announced the names of the players in Dhaka on Tuesday, and also said that Faf du Plessis, Chris Gayle and Jonny Bairstow are among those who will play for the World XI side.

Pakistani cricketers were not taken into consideration as BCCI objected to the move.
