Basel: Star shuttler PV Sindhu will have an excellent opportunity to become first Indian to win a gold at the BWF World Championships as she is set to face Japan's Nozomi Okuhara in the women's singles final here on Sunday.
World No. 5, Sindhu, reached the final by defeating her Chinese opponent Chen Yufei 21-7,21-14 in a 40-minute semifinal.
It will be the third consecutive time that Sindhu will play World Chmapionships final. Previously, the 24-year-old had to settle for a silver in both the finals. The Hyderabadi shuttler will hope to return home with a gold this time around.
