Tigmanshu Dhulia opens about being the bad cop in Fixerr

Director Tigmansu Dhulia is ready to play the role of a corrupted cop in the Zee 5 web series.

Mumbai: The Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster director Tigmanshu Dhulia is all set to feature in the upcoming web series Fixerr.

The director-cum-actor who has time and again impressed the audience with his performance in numerous flicks such as Bullet Raja, Shahid and Majhi - The Mountain Man among others will next be seen as a bad cop in the upcoming web series.

The Shagird director said that since he is typecasted as the torchbearers of the typical real space oriented, dark, intense and meaningful cinemas, there is less scope for him to work in such commercial genres.

Spilling the beans out, the director-cum-actor said he has grown up seeing these kinds of films. Since it is entertaining, fun and have a lot of twists and turns in the story, he agreed to do the film.

Speaking about the mishap that took place while filming a climax scene of the web series, Tigmanshu said: "The other day while we were shooting the climax scene at Porbandar some three to four drunken goons came and beat up the technicians, the cameraperson and even the director."

"The shooting stopped at that point of time. There were chaos and people were running for their life," he added.

"Following the incident, Ekta Kapoor had a meeting with the chief minister and they were finally caught," he concluded.

Revealing shades of his character, the actor said: "He is a senior cop working with the Delhi Police. His name is Sherawat. He is corrupted and tries to find ways to pressurise his junior."

Without revealing much about his role, he said that his equation with the protagonist is like a cat and mouse race.

For the first time, Tigmanshu will be seen sharing the screens space with actress Mahie Gill.

Talking about working with Shabir, he said he is looking forward to working with him.

Speaking about his upcoming projects, he revealed that he has just finished filming Dr. Kapoor, a web series on Netflix which is expected to be out by October end.
