'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' gets new 'Daya Ben'

The popular TV show 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' most admired character of 'Daya Ben' played by actor Disha Vakani will have a new face.

Mumbai: Popular Television sitcom 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' most loved character 'Daya Ben' will have a new face. Disha Vakani, who played the humorous role will be replaced by a new actor, confirmed the producer.

There have been rumours of Disha quitting the show doing the rounds since the actor took a maternity break from the show post her delivery. And now reports suggest that the makers of the show have already started hunting for a new face for the show.

According to a leading publication, producer Asit Kumarr Modi confirmed the news saying, "I will have to start looking for a new Daya ben. No one is bigger than the show. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah will go on with a new face because the family is incomplete without Dayaben."

The producer went on to say that Disha was given a break but they can't wait for her forever as the show must go on.

However, this might not be great news for all the 'Daya Ben' fans as they had seen her for years and a new face would surely take time to replace the impressions of the iconic character benchmark set by Disha.

Disha's character of 'Daya Ben' had been one of the major highlights of the show with her hilarious laughter and dialogue, 'hey maa mataji' which leaves everyone in splits.
