South star Samantha vents excitement for The Family Man 2

After news of Samantha being one of the cast members of The Family Man 2 surfaced the internet, the actor from South couldn't hold her excitement for her role in the sequel.

Mumbai: Telugu actor Samantha Akkineni, who is set to make her debut in the digital space with Manoj Bajpayee starrer The Family Man 2, has recently expressed her excitement about her role in the much-awaited web-series.

The actor revealed that she can't wait for a new set of audience to see her work through the edgy web-series infused with a lot of action and drama.

The actor who recently attended an event said: "I am doing the series The Family Man, so I think that's my first step (towards the Hindi film industry). I enjoyed being a part of The Family Man a lot. I am very happy that season one got a lot of appreciation. I am enjoying working with the team of the show and I can't wait for a new set of audience to see my work."

The Family Man 2 went on floors early in November, this year. The release date of the web series is yet to be announced.

More details related to the much-anticipated series are still under wraps.

A source close to the makers of The Family Man revealed that socio-political action thriller is expected to release between 2020-2021.

Samantha, who is equally popular in Tamil and Telugu film industry, married actor Naga Chaitanya Akkineni in October 2017. She is the daughter-in-law of South Indian superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna.

On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was last seen on big screens in the fantasy drama titled Oh! Baby. She also had a cameo role in Manmadhudu 2.
