Manisha Koirala, Javed Jaffrey starrer Maska trailer out

The team of Maska has released the trailer of the upcoming Netflix India original film. The film portrays the life of Prit Kamani as Rumi who aspires to become an actor and plans to sell his family cafe. Manisha Koirala and Javed Jaffrey feature the role of Prit's mother, father respectively.

Mumbai: The team of Maska which stars Manisha Koirala, Javed Jaffrey, Prit Kamani, Nikita Dutta and Shirley Setia in the lead roles has unveiled the trailer on Thursday.

In the trailer, Prit Kamani who features the role of Rumi, can be seen making the perfect bun maska for his mother Manisha Koirala (Diana). He was born to inherit the legacy of becoming a Maskawala as his family owns one of the oldest Irani cafes in Mumbai named The Rustom Bun Maska. Diana is the archetypal mother and her life revolves around her son. She wants Rumi to take responsibility and carry the lineage of the Cafe.

But as any 21-year old, Rumi has dreams and he aspires to become an actor. He plans to sell his family cafe to fulfil his dream. He gets into a tiff with mother regarding the matter. The rest of the trailer focuses on Prit's struggle and how he balances his desires and the aspirations of his family.

Maska is helmed by debutant director Neeraj Udhwani. It also stars Nikita Dutta who seemed to be doppleganger of Disha Patani and singer Shirley Setia.

The film will start streaming on Netflix from March 27.
