'Lonavala mein kya hua tha?' Priyamani answers

For all The Family Man fans, the question "Lonavala mein kya hua tha?" (What happened in Lonavala?), has now become an equivalent of "Why did Katttappa kill Baahubali?"- as the second season of much-loved show ended on a cliffhanger.

Hyderabad:The latest season of The Family Man saw Srikant played by Manoj Bajpayee and his team fight a new, brutal adversary named Raaji, essayed by South star Samantha Akkineni. Whereas, on the home front, his crumbling relationship with wife Suchi played by Priyamani was one of the highlights of the series.

In season one, the series had hinted at the possibility of Suchi straying in her relationship with her friend and colleague, Arvind played by Sharad Kelkar when the two go on a work trip to Lonavala. While the second season still didn't offer any clarity on what actually transpired between the two as the series finale ended on a cliffhanger, with Suchi finally mustering the courage to open up to Srikant.

Priyamani in one of her latest interviews has said that when she read the scenes, especially the last one in the finale episode, she was blown away as she was thinking 'Is Suchi going to say what has happened or not going to say it?' Priyamani also said that the makers of the show wanted to leave it to the audience. But fans of the show have been left restless with the uncertainty.

The question "Lonavala mein kya hua tha?" (What happened in Lonavala?), the actor said has now become an equivalent of "Why did Katttappa kill Baahubali?"- a question that captured fans' attention when filmmaker SS Rajamouli's first movie in the two-part Baahubali series ended on a cliffhanger.

In another interview with a webloid, when pressed about Lonavala mystery, the actor said, "I can give you two answers, one is whatever happens in Lonavala, stays in Lonavala. The second one would be, Ask Chellam Sir, he might know it. Because Chellam Sir knows everything. So, whichever you want to pick, you can pick."

In various interviews, The Family Man team has maintained that they were completely unaware that the mystery of what allegedly happened between Suchi and Arvind would blow up and continue to garner fan interest. The series created by Raj and DK streams on Amazon Prime Video.
