Mumbai: Taking the internet by storm, Netflix on Wednesday has announced the exclusive partnership with Karan Johar and its production house Dharmatic Entertainment.

The exclusive deal signed will only enhance the scope to create a broad range of new fictional and non-fictional series and films for the exclusive members of the video streaming site.

Speaking about the humongous possibilities, Karan said: "I'm super excited about the projects we already have in development and the limitless possibilities ahead. To create universal stories from India that the world discovers is an incredible and unprecedented opportunity."

Expressing excitement about the joint venture, Apoorva Mehta, CEO, Dharma Productions said: "We're excited about the immense storytelling possibilities ahead. With Netflix as the new storytelling home for Dharmatic Entertainment, I have the highest hopes for what we can do together."

She further stated: "Our vision is to create differentiated stories across diverse genres and we can't wait to craft and usher many more remarkable series and films into the world with Netflix."

In the 38-seconds-long-video Karan took the audience down the memory lanes he spoke about evergreen characters and the villainous roles that have taken our lives upside down.

In the short video, the SOTY 2 director announced: "Dharmatic and I are teaming up with Netflix to keep these stories coming. It's gonna be P.H.A.T - Pretty Hot and Tempting. So, get ready."

Earlier, in 2018, Karan had worked with Netflix for 'Lust Stories'. His upcoming Netflix projects Ghost Stories and Guilty are still awaited.
