Jaan Sanu reacts to dad Kumar Sanu's comments about his upbringing

Playback singer Kumar Sanu's son Jaan Sanu made some headlines when he entered the controversial Bigg Boss house for season 14. The singer had made it clear that he is not in touch with his son for the last 27 years and commented about Jaan's upbringing who is raised by his mother. Talking about the complex relationship with his father, Jaan admitted there’s a 'communication gap' with his dad.

Hyderabad: Jaan Kumar Sanu's stint in Bigg Boss 14 house revealed many lesser-known aspects of his life on national television. While he made it clear that for him his mother Rita Bhattacharya is his universe, the not-so-cordial relationship with his father too came to the forefront when Kumar Sanu made comments about his upbringing.

Jaan admitted that there is a 'communication gap' and that he believes his father has 'mixed feelings' about him in a recent interview. "I haven’t got a chance to speak to dad... But yeah, I think once we talk it out, it will be better. Because there has been a communication gap I guess from both of our ends," said Jaan to a webloid.

Jaan also reacted to a comment his father had previously made about his upbringing following the controversy he courted for comments about the Marathi language. "And as for the comment my dad made about my mom, I guess the entire world has witnessed how well my mom has raised us," he said.

Jaan was raised by his mother Rita after his parents separated when she was pregnant with him. Kumar Sanu had apologised for Jaan's comments on Marathi language but at the same time had also pointed fingers at his upbringing.

"I have not been with my son for 27 years. We have been living separately for 27 years. I don’t know about the upbringing his mother gave him and I don’t understand how he could have said such a thing. I am sorry. As a father, I can only apologise to you all," Kumar Sanu had said.

During his stay in the Bigg Boss house, Jaan also sadi that her mother plays the role of both parents after they got separated."My parents separated when my mother was six months pregnant with me hence I have grown up with her only since childhood."
