Mumbai: Television actor Deepika Singh took to social media to share an update on her mother's health who was battling COVID-19 in Delhi's Sir Gangaram Hospital.
The Diya Aur Baati Hum actor expressed gratitude towards her fans who constantly showered well wishes ever since the news of her mother being infected with the deadly virus went viral.
Singh said her mother recovered from COVID-19 and was discharged from the hospital. However, her grandmother is still undergoing treatment for the virus.
"Thank you to all of you for your immediate help , support, for wishing and praying speedy recovery of my mother. She’s back home & safe. Grateful to everyone who has been a big support in this journey. Dil se shukriya," wrote Deepika alongside a picture with her mother and grandmother on Instagram.

She also urged her 1.3 mn followers on the social media platform to pray for her grandmother, who is still fighting COVID-19 in hospital.
"Now just waiting and praying for my grandma to recover as she has also been diagnosed positive & still in the hospital. Please do keep her in your prayers. Although Thank you is not enough but I don’t have a better word. The actor's parents reside in Arya Nagar of Delhi's Paharganj area, in a joint family set-up with 45 people. She could not fly to Delhi from Mumbai because she has a small child, but her sister Anamika has flown to the Capital to be with their parents.
