Hyderabad: Television actor Shweta Tiwari on Monday took to social media to share a video of alleged abuse and physical violence by her estranged husband Abhinav Kohli. A few hours later, Abhinav too took to Instagram to narrate his side of the story and refuted Shweta's claims of physical abuse.
Kasautii Zindagi Kay fame actor Shweta has shared a video wherein Abhinav can be seen walking with her and their son Reyansh. Taking to Instagram, Shweta wrote: "Now let the truth come out!!!! (But this is not going to stay forever on my account, I will eventually delete it, I am posting this right now to reveal the truth, then it goes off). This is why my child is scared of him! After this incident my child was scared for more than a month, he was so scared that he would not even sleep properly at night!", Tiwari revealed.

"His hand hurt for more than 2 weeks. Even now, he is scared of his papa coming home or meeting him. I can’t let my child go through this mental trauma. I try my best to keep him calm and happy! But this horrible man makes sure my baby’s mental health goes back to square one! If this is not physical abuse then what is!!!!?? It is the CCTV footage of my society," she concluded.
Replying to Shweta's claims, Abhinav too has shared a one hour and sixteen minutes long video where he tries to share his side of the story by sharing the chronology of the events that led to the incident that happened on October 24, 2020, which Shweta has posted on her social media page.
In his defense, Abhinav has said that he has always allowed Shweta to have access to the child but her attitude is not the same for him so he had to resort to the legal route. Abhinav has also written an application to the Samtanagar police station to register FIR u/s 75 of The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.
Shweta was earlier married to Raja Chaudhary. The actor divorced Raja, accusing him of domestic violence, and married Abhinav Kohli in 2013.
